Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.
this weeks theme is: top ten books on my summer TBR list.
my summer TBR list is FULL. i've got YALLfest in the fall, so i've gotta start reading those books. then i'm trying to reach my goal of 120 books this year so, i need to read LOTS this summer. here are my top ten books on my summer TBR list:
Forever With You by Robin Jones Gunn: you don't know how absolutely ecstatic i am about this book. i am filled with felicity knowing that i will know more about Christy's life. i thought we would never get a new book. but, boy, was i wrong! i still have not managed to get the book yet *cries for years* but i will soon. I WILL SOON.
Open Road Summer by Emery Lord: i've been seeing so much about this book, and i want to know what all the hype is about. everyone says it's a great summertime read, also, i've heard of a "Matt Finch" who is supposedly swoon-worthy. i love swoon-worthy guys, just saying.
Under the Dome by Stephen King: i watch and love the TV show, and i'm impatient and i want to know what happens. also, this book has been taunting me at the library. i've been scared of it, because it's a whopping 1074 pages but hey, it's the summer so no better time to read it.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas: it seems like there is not a soul in the book-blogging community that hasn't read these books. there is only the 1st, 2nd and collection of prequels out, but this series already has a pretty big fanbase and i'm excited to read it. also, Sarah J. Maas will be at YALLfest and AWKWARD if i get her to sign these books when i haven't actually read them...
Simple Perfection by Abbi Glines: this is the 5th Rosemary Beach book, and i don't see why i haven't read it yet. i was completely enamored by the first 4 books, but i didn't automatically rush to the next book, which i should have because i lost my motivation to read the series. BUT THAT MOTIVATION IS BACK AND I'M CRAVING COLLEGE AGED GUYS WHO ARE RICH BUT DON'T GO TO COLLEGE!
Broken Hearts, Fences and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn: am i the only one who didn't know that Katie Finn was really Morgan Matson? i had already been looking forward to this book, because it seems like my kind of book, but then i heard it was really Morgan who wrote it. imagine my reaction. it was the craziest type of crazy. now scratch that because it was crazier than that.
#scandal by Sarah Ockler: i was about to type "is it June 17th yet?" when i realized, IT IS. i have been waiting anxiously for this book and it's finally here. I'M JUMPING AROUND RIGHT NOW.
Life By Commitee by Corey Ann Haydu: friends are talking about how amazing this is but i still haven't read it. the synopsis is so cool, and i honestly can't wait to get my hands on this book.

Never Fade by Alexandra Bracken: why have i not read this sooner? i absolutely loved the first book, but i need to read these books in physical book instead of on a device, because i forgot a lot of the first book. but what i do remember is my intense love for Clancy that all my friends despise. i liked Liam, but i love a bad boy.
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell: i love the concept of this book, how they meet over the phone and i just love Rainbow because i mean, who doesn't? but really, i've been looking forward to reading this book for awhile, but have never been able to read it, because i have to wait months for Rainbow's books from the library, because EVERYONE WANTS THEM, EVERYONE NEEDS THEM. so i'm just not gonna wait anymore, and just buy the book.
i enjoyed writing this post and i hope you enjoyed reading it! make sure to comment and subscribe to my bloglovin' and i'll return the favor! thanks for reading!

OH YES!!! I NEED to get to reading Alexandra Bracken's The Darkest Minds, it's been on my radar since forever and everyone loves it!!

Great list. I've got Attachments on mine as well, and have been intrigued with Open Road Summer for a long time now.
ReplyDeleteAttachments was such a great book.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Going to add a few of these to my TBR now.
Here is our TTT!
Buying Rowell's book is a solid investment. I find myself flipping through my copy of attachments and E&P every so often. I wish I had a physical copy of Fangirl instead of the ebook!
ReplyDeleteI feel the need to warn you that Under The Dome the TV show is a bit different that Under The Dome the book. The book is totally AMAZING (the best King book in a long tie for me) and while I did enjoy the show I did find myself yelling at the TV over all the bits they'd changed. Just something to keep in mind if you're expecting that the book is mirrored by the show, as per usual with these things it does to a degree but not completely and some of the changes in the show are a bit odd to say the least, definately worth reading the book though!

Oh girl, you're not the only who hasn't read the Throne of Glass trilogy! Same situation here!
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, I 've never read a Stephen King my whole reading life yet. Am I missing awesomeness?Great list!
